  1. I am using configurable urtdpcos the way you described grouped urtdpcos. But my prices don’t change, so I don’t have that problem. The urtdpcos are shoes and all the information is in the configurable except for the size, which is carried in the simple product and is reused for all the shoes. One problem I ran into recently is the parent vs. the child SKU. In Magento 1.1.3, buying a configurable product resulted in the parent SKU showing on the order (the cart and the order also showed the child SKU, but the main SKU was the parent). That worked great for my setup, but some people called it a bug, so in 1.1.6 they changed it to result in the child SKU. Now my bestseller list shows sizes! (child SKUs) There is an admin option to choose which image to use in the cart (Parent or Child), but they didn’t add an option for which SKU to use.The point is to be careful how you advocate setting up urtdpcos, because we all decide to do it differently and what works today might change tomorrow.

  2. I know this is an old post, but I hope you monitor ctmoenms. I’ve used navicat for years (just not with crapgento). I cannot get data transfer to work (without crashing magento). I’m still using SQL dumps. There’s another panel of options in navicat’s data transfer dialog, you didn’t take a screen shot of. It has the nitty gritty details of the data transfer (like fk constraint, autoincrement, etc). Can you please post what extra options you’re using, because the defaults don’t work for me.

  3. Just tested the tinegration with a brand new installation of Magento. It seems that there are some issues with GA reporting:- when I look in the checkout/onepage/success/ page, I did not see any of the GA code for inserting the transaction to Google analytics.- When I look in GA, SOME of the data is missing:Sales of 0 products generated $15.00 (correct revenue amount) but sales of 0 product?the data also shows:33.33% Conversion Rate 1 Transactions (correct)$15.00 Average Order Value (correct)1 Purchased Products (correct). But when I click on the 1 Purchased Products, I get no records found

  4. If you’re hesitant about anotillatisn, then PrestaShop is definitely the way to go. They do both require manual anotillatisn, but Magento’s learning curve is significantly steeper. It’s more powerful, but its also much larger and requires a dedicated server just to run it. Meanwhile, you can get your PrestaShop store up in under an hour, even less if you use their PrestaBox service. +20
